Draft — not yet reviewed by a solicitor
Privacy policy
Last updated: 2 July 2026
This is a plain-English draft of how Ardlo handles personal information. It will be reviewed and finalised before we take paying customers. If anything here is unclear, email us and we’ll explain it properly.
Who we are
Ardlo provides a digital front office — website, enquiry inbox, quoting, jobs and reviews — for UK trades and home service businesses. For UK data protection law, Ardlo is the controller of the account information you give us, and a processor of the customer information you store in the product.
What we collect
- Your account details: name, email address and business profile information.
- The data you put into Ardlo: enquiries, customer contact details, quotes, jobs, notes, photos and reviews.
- Enquiries submitted through your generated website, on your behalf.
- Basic usage and device information needed to run and improve the service.
How we use it
- To run the product: capture enquiries, draft replies and quotes, track jobs, publish approved reviews.
- To power AI features — drafting and summarising. Your data is not used to train third-party AI models.
- To keep the service secure, reliable and improving.
We do not sell personal data. Ever.
Where it lives
Data is stored with reputable cloud providers, encrypted in transit and at rest. Where data leaves the UK, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) will apply.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, and complain to the ICO if you think we’ve got something wrong. If you close your account, you can take your data with you.
